Ferries and Ferry Companies Operating
(Guernsey, Channel Islands, UK)

All ferry services from Guernsey are operated by just one company, Condor Ferries. The company runs five routes from Guernsey to Jersey, Poole, Portsmouth, Weymouth and St Malo.

Condor Ferries

There are two daily sailings to Jersey aboard the inter-island ferry from Guernsey. Journey time is approximately 1 hour.

There are two daily fast ferry crossings to Poole which take 2 hours, 45 minutes, six weekly crossings to Portsmouth aboard a conventional ferry which takes 12 hours, 30 minutes, two daily fast ferry crossings to St Malo between March and October taking just 45 minutes and two daily fast ferry crossings to Weymouth taking 2 hours, 30 minutes.

There are three types of ship - a mixture of fast ferries and conventional ferries which are owned and operated by Condor Ferries. The Condor Express and Vitesse are two quality fast car ferries that operate between Guernsey and the UK mainland. Each ferry guarantees a smooth ride and carries over 700 passengers and 185 cars. On-board facilities are impressive and include comfortable air-conditioned lounges, reclining seats, a café/bar, duty-free shop, and a children's play area.

The Commodore Clipper is a rugged, conventional ferry with space for 300 passengers and more than 100 cars. Facilities aboard the Commodore Clipper include: en-suite cabins, a club-class lounge, reclining seats, a restaurant and lounge bar, duty-free shop, and a children's play area.

The Condor 10 is the newest ship of the fleet of ten Condor Ferries' ships and is also a fast car ferry. This operates between Guernsey and St Malo. Facilities are excellent aboard the Condor 10 and include air-conditioned passenger lounges, a café/bar, club class and a well stocked duty-free shop.
